Lower Facelift

Lower facelift focuses on the lower part of the face which includes the chin, around the mouth, and fat under and around the jawline. Just by recontouring your jawline removes years from your appearance.

In performing lower facelift surgery, surgeon must access the underlying muscles and connective tissue layer of your face. Once the surgeon made an incision, the muscle layer tightened, removes the excess fat and the skin is pulled back into position. The incision started in the hairline on the forehead and curves around the ear. The surgeon lifts back the skin and suture back into place. In that case the incision is not noticeable once healed. There is an S-shaped incision that is made if less tightening is needed and normally recommended for younger facelift candidates. It is also possible to perform endoscopy using small cameras. This will aid your doctor to perform the operation correctly. If your lower facelift operation is performed using these technique, plastic surgeons will make small incisions for faster healing.

If you have a problem with your neck which is related to wrinkled or loose skin, you can combine lower facelift with neck lift procedure to enhance the results of your surgery.
